II. Innovations in sustainability
Date of the conference: 28-29. May 2026.
Venue: University of Miskolc
The aim of the conference is to provide an opportunity to Hungarian and foreign researcher, specialist, and PhD students to present and discuss their research results in the accredited scientific fields of the University of Miskolc, as well as to build new professional relationships. The special aim of the conference is to present and disseminate the research results achieved in the scientific workshops of the ongoing projects of the University of Miskolc especially in the area of sustainability.
The conference will start with a Plenary Session at 10 a.m. on 28th May. The conference will continue its work in two focus areas and their respective professional areas:

Novel and sustainable primary and secondary raw materials; Innovative methods, AI and geoinformatics solutions for raw materials exploration, mining and management Environmental conscious processing of raw materials, energy management and sustainable technologies; Developing and examining modern metallic and non-metallic materials; Modelling the microstructure and the properties of technical and chemical materials; Developing novel procedures of materials transformation and examination methods; Modern methods in product design and manufacturing technologies; Management of sustainable production; Innovative design and optimisation solutions in production logistics; Digitalisation and simulation in modern production technologies; Properties and testing of modern materials; Modern design and manufacturing in chemical engineering; New achievements in Information Technology

The conference program includes oral presentations (physical presence).

Deadline for uploading the papers: 30 June 2026.
Participation fee of the conference:
120 EUR, which includes the registration, the costs of publication and the costs of the professional meeting after the plenary session.
Speakers can also apply for additional presentations, which will be charged a registration fee of 50 EUR.
It is possible to apply as an audience only. The fee is 100 EUR.
On day 0 of the microCAD conference (27 May 2026.): lectures on the topic of AI.

The conference papers from the fields of engineering sciences, natural sciences and economics will be published in the Journal of University of Miskolc (Multidisciplinary Sciences), which has ISSN number and DOI ID.
The papers from the fields of humanities, social sciences in the Publicationes Universitatis Miskolcinensis Sectio Philosophica, Alkalmazott Nyelvészeti Közlemények, Szellem és Tudomány in journals, depending on the subject, health sciences in the Journal for Health Sciences and law sciences in the Publicationes Universitatis Miskolcinensis Sectio Iuridica et Politica will be published in faculty-specific publications.
